This document from the IATP (Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy) in Minneapolis contains water use records for existing Minnesota ethanol plants and has more information on the use of water (consumptive and not) by ethanol manufacturers.
Village of Cambria - links to newspaper articles, several from Twin Cities papers, about water use and ethanol.
MPCA site on ethanol has lots of links to other sites

Once you have zoomed in far enough that the wells show up, you can select an area. All the wells within that area will come up in a list. There are a couple of hyperlinks from the list. If you click on the "unique number" you get the official well log sheets. If you click on the "Yes" in the Stratigraphy column, you get the Minnesota Geological Survey's interpretation of the stratigraphy. (The uppermost bedrock unit in many wells located near the proposed plant seems to be St. Peter or Prairie du Chien; not all of the wells recorded extend all the way to the Jordan Fm.)
