Behavioral Genetics: Biology 379

This past fall the Behavioral Genetics class at Carleton College undertook a project inspired by the book Eat Right For Your Type. The book claims that you should choose your diet based upon your blood type and that you should have a natural preference for certain types of food. We set about testing the theories presented in the book using a population of students, staff and faculty at Carleton College. Our study focused upon the food aversions of A and O blood types. We authored a survey asking the participant's blood type and several diet preference questions and analyzed the results using a chi-squared test.
