We began the trip with a visit to the metamorphic rocks near Jim Falls on the Chippewa River. The geology there was complex, and included recent potholes in the riverbed being examined by Annaliese and Bereket.

Dave discussed the rock structures with Lauren, Devin, Nancy and Dave.

We're not sure what Dave put in his pasta that night, but it was a hit anyway!

The next day we moved on to Baraboo. At the first outcrop Joseph checks out the rock.

Sarah and Dave looking over the rocks overlooking Devil's Lake...

And Bereket takes a scenery break.

We strain our brains to figure out the story at Elephant Rock.

Next day it's on to the fold above the entrance road to Devil's Lake State Park.

Lauren discusses the dramatic fold in the rocks behind her.

Moving on the Lower Narrows, Cam participated in the discussion too.

At the end of the day we hit the Dairy Queen. Are we applying for jobs or just being macho? It's Mary, Cam, Annaliese, Gabe and Sarah.
